Single-Gender College Preparatory Program
These programs prepare students for higher education and life with a focus on pre-AP and AP courses and exposure to the demands of college and a career. Single gender schools have an academic matrix score requirement for entry.

Academic Early College High Schools
These programs give students the opportunity to earn an associate degree or at least 60 credit hours toward a baccalaureate degree at Houston Community College, at no cost, while they are in high school. Pathways in Technology (P-TECH) Early College High School
P-TECH programs give high school students the opportunity to earn a high school diploma along with a workforce credential, industry certification, or an associate degree—at no cost to families.
Each P-TECH campus focuses on a specific career pathway and provides real-world learning experiences through partnerships with colleges and local industries. Students can complete their high school diploma while also earning college credits, certifications, or a degree—all within six years. Click here for more information.

Dual Enrollment with the University of Texas
Through a partnership with University of Texas OnRamps, students can take courses that earn both high school and college credit. After completing the courses, students can choose to accept or decline the college credit. If they accept, the credit will appear on their university transcript, helping them get a head start on college. For more information about dual enrollment, click here.

TSIA & Dual Enrollment
The Texas Success Initiative Assessment (TSIA) includes tests like the SAT, ACT, and TSIA 2.0. These tests help Texas public colleges and universities determine if students are ready for college-level reading, writing, and math courses.
All participating high schools will share important information about the TSIA 2.0 during parent and student orientation. This includes details about test requirements, how to prepare, and the support available to help students succeed. For more information, click here.
